The US Supreme Court has decided to take up a case involving an appeal by the Trump administration in a FOIA lawsuit filed by ethics group CREW that demands release of documents about the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Although CREW claims that the agency enjoys wide-ranging independent powers and should be subject to transparency, the administration asserts that it is a presidential advisory commission exempt from such a requirement.
